The Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), Kaduna electricity distribution zone, has claimed that about 21 billion naira was outstanding as unsettled debts from electricity bills owed it by the armed forces, police, politicians and other federal government agencies in the North West states.
Raising the alarm over the huge debts, the managing director of Kaduna electricity distribution company, Mr Mohammed Idris who spoke through the general manager operations, Abdul Lawal at a news conference in Kaduna on Wednesday, lamented that such huge debt is largely affecting the smooth operations of providing constant power supply to its customers.
