The Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC), on Thursday warned that it would punish staff involved in extorting money from customers. Addressing the Customers’ Consultative Forum of the Joint Business Units in Kaduna, the Managing Director, Malam Mohammed Idris, expressed worry over frequent complaints of extortion against the staff of the company by customers . Idris said the company was determined to deliver quality services and would not allow ``any bad egg" to tarnish its image. ``PHCN/KEDC is committed to ensure efficient service delivery which will meet customers’ satisfaction at all times.’’Idris explained that the forum was designed to create opportunity for customers to rub minds with the management on issues concerning the quality of service and operational problems. He urged electricity consumers not to relent in reporting staff who demanded money from them to fix any damaged property of the company. ``You are not expected to pay for the repairs or contribute money for the purchase of any of PHCN/KEDC installations in your communities.''
