The Kano zone of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) said it was responding to the energy needs of its customers in the zone including Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states.
Kano DISCO Assistant General Manager (Public Affairs), Alhaji Mukhtar Usman, said this on Monday in Kano.
He said that the company was experiencing a recurring challenge of electricity supply from the national grid due to the large demand for power in Kano metropolis and other towns.
``It is quite a challenge for us in achieving our desire to fulfill the needs of our clients in Kano which is a large industrial area. But we get assurances from the head office that things will soon improve for the better.’’
Usman said that the company would also meet the demands of the Kano section of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) on improved electricity for their industrial activities.
