The federal Government has set up three committees to oversee the successful bidding and handing over process for the 10 newly built power plants offered for sale to private investors.
This development followed a road-show by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) in Lagos, which was aimed at sensitising the world to the fact that the 10 newly built power plants are up for sale to private investors.

Investigation revealed that the committees were set up after a meeting in Abuja at the weekend between the Federal Government, represented by the National Council on Privatisation (NCP), the NDPHC and the states that are part of the ownership of the plants.
The three committees are the Joint Evaluation Committee of the Bureau of Private Enterprises (BPE) and NDPHC, Joint Transaction Committee and the Joint Technical Committee.
