After one year of buck passing, the Federal Government, yesterday, set a timeline of June 17, this year for the commencement of benefit payment to about 50,000 Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) workers.
The cheery news was broken by the Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, during a working visit to the 1,080MW Egbin Electric Power Plc., in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Nebo while responding to questions from Egbin Power Plc. workers said the payment figure include severance package, pension and gratuity, allaying fears that workers would not be surchanged in the entire process.
Indeed, the minister assured that all deserving PHCN workers would be compensated
