The lack of funds is the major factor preventing Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) from installing prepaid meters for all customers at the same time, an official said.
The Principal Manager, Public Affairs of PHCN, Abuja Zonal Office, Mr Debo Adegoke, gave the explanation in Abuja, yesterday.
“The reasons we cannot supply every customer with prepaid meters at the same time is because of the financial implication which we cannot for now adequately afford. Also, PHCN is facing some challenges with the customers regarding prepaid meters that were installed for them because some of the customers are fond of tampering with the meters,” Adegoke said. (NAN
